Pratofiorito
Prato Fiorito Mountains (1297m) dominate the area of Bagni di Lucca, the top of them you can enjoy a beautiful view.
Even if they do not have very high strategic position.
The mountains have the character to be free of vegetation and covered with flowers in spring, making the whole a unique show!
In July of 1818 the poet Shelley in a letter, so remember Prato Fiorito:
"Mary and I went up on horseback to a place called Prato Fiorito on top of a mountain. The road winds through forests and streams, and goes green on the edge of cliffs, revealing magnificent landscapes."
Shelley turned out, that the scent of daffodils that had almost fainted, it is said that some of his poems are inspired from this visit.
